Your host
The honorary Doc – Randle Stonier HonDEd.

Hailing from Middle Earth – born with the smell of a brewery in his nostrils having been born in Burton-on-Trent, Randle’s formative years were dominated by theatre, privileged to have had one godfather who was General Manager of the London Palladium for 25 years, and a godmother who was an accomplished comedy actress.

Randle’s career highlights include serving as a Royal Navy officer, stints in the Metropolitan Police and Procter and Gamble. In his mid-20s he found himself working for Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, setting up and running a paddle-steamer whilst also licensee of Europe’s largest gay nightclub. His agency career in marketing and events has spanned the good and the down-right ugly from start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, first as MD of Motivforce, CEO of Euro RSCG Skybridge, to founding AddingValue and its ultimate closure.

He’s won a Guinness World Record on behalf of Vodafone for the largest silver service dinner party (11,500 pax) in the world. He’s been Industrial Advisor and External Examiner to Leeds Beckett University, and served as Chairman of the Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM). Randle has also produced pan EMEA and NAM channel marketing and community solutions for Microsoft, Vodafone, Mckinsey and IBM, producing events in 56 countries.

He has been honoured with Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine’s Industry Personality of the Year, made a Fellow of the IPM and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Leeds Beckett University for his work in the education of events management. Randle regularly contributes to journals and lectures on events management and communication solutions, to universities and to industry.

His loves include things that float or sink as a qualified RYA Yachtmaster and a PADI Advanced diver. and with a love of rugby. He has a passion for rugby, technology and photography when not enjoying a good laugh in the company of his partner, his mad flat-coated retriever, friends and family.

Over the last 12 months, Randle has thrown caution to the wind. As well as continuing to provide consulting services to various clients, he’s launched a dog franchise business, MyWaggyTails.co.uk. He’s qualified as a commercial drone pilot with a focus on photography and videography embracing events, venues and the such like. Never one for sitting quietly, he’s also spent the last 6 months on numerous workshops being coached in the idiosyncrasies and skills of being a storyteller and voice-artist. Off the back of that and embracing several of his passions: events, technology and voice – comes this podcast, Three Blind MICE from Radio.Events.
